The Chapel is seen as the Church for Hollinswood and Randlay, but also serves a multiracial congregation drawn from across the town. There’s always provision for children, who are valued members of the congregation, either through a Junior Church or All-Age Worship. We celebrated our 15th anniversary in the Chapel in July 2003, having met on Hollinswood Estate until Meeting Point House was built.
We sing from Mission Praise, Hymns and Psalms, Common Ground, and the overhead projector. Our service books are Methodist Worship and Common Worship.
There is a lively group of children and a rota of people working with them each week. As well as the good age-mix of the congregation, it is also racially mixed, to its benefit.
We share the building with other groups: The Society of Friends meets each Sunday in the Quaker Room at 10.45am. There is a Roman Catholic Mass in the Chapel each Saturday at 5pm – Priest: Father Bill Fitzgerald. A Chinese Evangelical Church meets in the Walker Room.
